Shooting Stars, Virginia Bluebells, Rue Anemone and more native wildflowers were admired on the April 8 walk at Ball’s Bluff guided by John DeMary, a crowd favorite for nature walks. It was a gorgeous morning, and all the spring wildflowers were in full bloom. Here is what two of the attendees said about the experience:
Tamara said, “Steve and I had a wonderful time!! John was a wonderful guide and we learned all sorts of new things about wildflowers.”
Rebecca mentioned being able to appreciate what has been accomplished through efforts to remove invasive Garlic Mustard and said, “I can’t say enough good things about the Wildflower Walk yesterday! It was a wonderful experience for both me and my husband. John is so incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic that he makes a perfect guide. We learned so much, and the time just flew by. We would love to participate in another event led by John!”
We are fortunate to have such a special place to visit in Loudoun County and to have someone as knowledgeable and friendly as John DeMary to guide walks there.
