Join Us for the Christmas Bird Count
We invite you to join us for the Christmas Bird Count (CBC), an annual event the National Audubon Society started in 1899 and that takes place across the country. The 2021 count is scheduled for Tuesday, December 28. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert birder, this is a fun way to go out and document how the birds are doing in Loudoun County.
We’ll put you in a team to count in a sector of the count circle that the Central Loudoun Christmas Count covers. At the end of the day, we usually gather to share experiences and review the species spotted. This year we’ll try to do something virtual.
Read about our 2020 CBC here to see what species the groups saw.
Sign up below to join us for a few hours or for a full day. It’s a great activity for adults and families alike.
