Team Awards and Prizes
To qualify for awards and prizes, your team report and funds raised must be submitted to Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy by June 30. Teams must be comprised of at least two people and can be no larger than six people and people, and must specify in advance if they are going to compete for a 24-hour time period or a 48-hour time period.
Most Species Award in 24 Hours: Each member of the team finding the highest number of bird species within a 24-hour time period will receive a gift certificate for $75.
Most Species Award in 48 Hours: Each member of the team finding the highest number of bird species within a 48-hour time period will receive a gift certificate for $75.
Most Money Raised: Each member of the team raising the most money will receive a gift certificate for $75.
Most Species Observed by a Family: The family team finding the highest number of bird species will receive a gift certificate for $100.
Most Species Observed by Fledgling Birders: Each member of the team finding the highest number of bird species whose team members are 18 years old or younger (may also include a parent or guardian over 18) will receive a gift certificate for $50.
Most Species Observed by First Timers: Each member of the team finding the highest number of bird species who are participating for the first time in our Birdathon will receive a gift certificate for $50.
