Eleven birders showed up on a crisp, overcast morning for the April monthly walk at Bles Park led by Bryan Henson. Although it was still a little early in the season to see many warblers, we did see a Common Yellowthroat and two Palm Warblers who tried their best to avoid being seen. We also saw several Yellow-rumped Warblers dressed in their finest breeding plumage preparing to make their trip north. Some other highlights were a mama Wood Duck with 10 babies, three Great Crested Flycatchers that were first of the season for several of us, and a surprise Wilson Snipe.
It was a great morning of birding with a total of 45 species seen. For the complete list, you can see the eBird checklist here: https://ebird.org/checklist/S169622932
