The Appalachian Trail Festival returned to B Chord Brewery September 11 and 12 with beautiful weather. Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy was one of the many vendors who participated in the event. The Festival offered a variety of hiking and Appalachian Trail related programs and workshops along with music, food, drinks and children’s activities. While Sunday saw fewer vendors and participants, there were approximately 175 people who stopped by the booth over the weekend. Many were new to Loudoun County or had never heard of our organization. This presented a wonderful opportunity to reach out to potential new members, program leaders and volunteers. Under the leadership of Jim McWalters, volunteers staffing the booth included Nida Davis, Eric Austin, Amy Ulland, Barbara McKee and Kara Pascale. We look forward to participating in this event in the years to come.
