Study on Bird Collisions with Windows
Virginia Tech needs your help to document how often birds collide with windows in Virginia and surrounding states.
According to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, between 100 million and 1 billion birds die each year from these collisions. The Lab suggests a some ways to cut down on the fatalities but it happens all too often.
Virginia Tech’s Conservation Management Institute is working to try to find ways to further reduce the number of bird fatalities. As part of this, the group wants to hear from you when you see a collision. Here’s how to file your reports.
