Site Description: Piney Run is a tributary of the Potomac. This site is located right before the confluence with the Sweet Run tributary near Arnold Trail at the Sweet Run State Park (formerly the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship) in Neersville.
Certified Lead Monitor: John Ellis started conducting benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring at this site in the spring of 2023. This site was previously monitored from 2009 to 2010.
