The “Wild About Loudoun!” art exhibit is now up at the Purcellville Library until August 30, 2024. The exhibit includes stunning photographs of some of our rarely seen residents of Loudoun including the elusive Eastern Spadefoots that were found last year at JK Black Oak Wildlife Sanctuary near Lucketts. Photos include birds, butterflies, amphibians, insects and some remarkable photos of beautiful habitats found throughout the county. Stop by and discover Loudoun’s delightful landscapes including vernal pools, streams and leafy glades right here in your backyard. Perhaps you’ll discover where to take your next nature hike.
Each photo has a label with interesting facts about the subjects and comments by the photographers. Scannable QR Codes are included that link to information about how to become involved in related programs offered by Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy.
Thanks to the Loudoun County Public Library system, the exhibit will be on display throughout 2024. For September and October the exhibit moves to the Brambleton Library and then finishes its tour at the Gum Spring Library in South Riding during November and December.
