In spite of a couple of inches of rain the day before, the group of 11, led by Jane Yocom and Joe Coleman on November 12, found the trails surprisingly dry at Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve. The walk featured beautiful fall weather and skies full of raptors including two Bald Eagles, two Red-tailed Hawks, two Red-shouldered Hawks and a lot of vultures. The other highlights of the walk included a well-seen Winter Wren, Ruby-crowned and Golden-crowned Kinglets, very vocal and visible Common Ravens, and six of the seven woodpeckers who winter here.
