How long have you volunteered with Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and how did you hear about us?

Terri’s family moved to Loudoun from the West Coast in March 2009. She attended her first native plant sale that April and began attending all the wonderful programs LWC offers.
What opportunities have you volunteered for/are signed up for?
Terri first volunteered at a work day at Morven Park about 7 years ago. She has been a bluebird trail monitor for 4 years and served as the Trail Leader this year. Terri also became an Audubon at Home Ambassador this year and participated in the recent JK Black Oak Sanctuary work day. In the past, Terri says she has “enjoyed many of the educational programs LWC organizes, from seasonal, waterfowl in winter, bird, tree, spring wildflowers, and dragonfly walks, to the Christmas bird count, and other presentations by guest speakers on bats, bees, moths, snakes, you name it!”
What is your favorite natural area in Loudoun County?
Terri relates, “It is hard to pick one! I often go to Morven Park as it is close to where I live, as is Ball’s Bluff/Veterans Park trailhead. Rust Nature Sanctuary is another. It is so great to have these spaces right here in Leesburg. I also spend a lot of time in my own yard where I have worked to recreate habitat over the last decade — I always find something new!”
