The Dulles Greenway’s 13th annual Drive For Charity raised $315,860on Thursday. The money will be donated to six local charities and the Greenway scholarship program. In 13 years, the Dulles Greenway has now raised over $3.3 million for local charities and scholarships.
The recipients this year are six non-profits and the Dulles Greenway Scholarship program. The charities are Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, The March of Dimes (National Capital Area chapter), Every Citizen Has Opportunities (ECHO), Loudoun Abused Women’s shelter (LAWS), FreshAir/Full Care and Loudoun Free Clinic.
The one-day drive enables Loudoun Wildlife to provide its many free programs and events.
The Dulles Greenway is a privately owned 14-mile toll road that connects Washington Dulles International Airport with Leesburg.
