Bird Walk at Banshee Includes a Lincoln’s Sparrow

On October 11 nine birders, led by Kevin Denice and Mary Ann Good, enjoyed a fall walk at Banshee Reeks.  We found a few lingering migrants as well as welcoming returning winter residents. Our walk was enlivened by the eager questions and keen interest in every passing natural element of a young budding naturalist. Highlights were a flyover then perched Sharp-shinned Hawk and a Lincoln’s Sparrow.
