Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy is seeking a creative, nature-loving Social Media Specialist to energize our digital presence and engage a growing community of passionate nature enthusiasts. This is a part-time, mostly-remote position (15-20 hours per week, $20/hr) with a flexible schedule and the opportunity to make a real impact on our natural world here at home.

What You’ll Bring:

• A passion for wildlife, conservation, and nature (expertise not required)
• A basic understanding of social media trends, analytics, and best practices
• Comfort working across various social media platforms (with a focus on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn)
• The ability to write concise captions that inspire and engage
• Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools
• Creativity; initiative; and a collaborative, positive attitude that energizes our team

What You’ll Do:

• Create eye-catching, engaging social content — tailored to each platform — that highlights our programs, volunteers, partners, and overall impact
• Contribute to the development of our organizational social media strategy, including content planning and performance tracking
• Build community through thoughtful engagement with our followers
• Attend and cover occasional events and programs from a social media perspective

Nice-to-Have (Not Required):

• Video editing skills
• Experience with project management software (we use Monday.com)
• Previous experience with nonprofits or mission-driven organizations
