April 2009
Greetings!
I’m very excited to announce the launch of the Loudoun County Bird Atlas! As of today, you can begin collecting and reporting data for the atlas project! The online data entry system is up and running and ready for data entry. Please remember to use your field cards for collecting data and refer to the Data Entry Guide for help when entering your data. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact myself or your Regional Coordinator for assistance.
It’s not too late to help with the atlas! If you missed the training, but are still interested in owning a block or helping with the atlas please let me know. I plan on holding another training session in the next month, once we have recruited a few more atlasers. Thanks to those of you who already attended a training session. If your enthusiasm is any indicator, this project will be a great success!
Please remember that all of the atlas forms and information can be found on the atlas website . Thanks for volunteering your time and talent to this project. I’m looking forward to working with you!
Happy Atlasing!
