Site Description: This site is located on a trail near Ashburn Park and is just before the confluence with Beaverdam Run proper in Ashburn. This is a benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring site (in partnership with Virginia Save Our Streams).
Certified Lead Monitor: Broad Run teacher Jen Dunn started conducting benthic monitoring at this site in the spring of 2024. Jen and Aimee Conrad have also been collecting Salt Watch data at this site. Youth Conservation Leadership Institute student Anthony Santos established the site in the fall of 2022.
