Since 2017, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy has been proud to call the Gatehouse at Morven Park our home. We’re incredibly grateful for the strong partnership we’ve built with Morven over the years and for their generous support in hosting numerous programs and events, including our Native Plant Sales, various nature walks, Writing in Nature workshops and more.
Recently, Morven informed us of their plans to repurpose the Gatehouse for official park use, with renovations beginning in early 2026. As a result, we will be officially leaving the Gatehouse by January 15, 2026. (Please note that, despite this move, our partnership with Morven will continue, and many of our signature events — including the Native Plant Sales — will still be held on their beautiful grounds.)
In the meantime, Loudoun Wildlife is beginning the exciting search for a new “nest,” and while we’re actively exploring options behind the scenes, we’re also inviting input from our members and friends in the community.
With that in mind, if you have ideas, suggestions or potential space opportunities (or even just a question or comment), please reach out to Executive Director Tom Kercheval at tkercheval@loudounwildlife.org.
Ideally, our new space will:
- Provide room for occasional meetings and periodic office work. (Our staff works on a mostly remote basis).
- Provide storage space for our materials and supplies. (The Gatehouse provides just over 930 square feet of total space, which has been more than sufficient for our current needs.)
- Provide easy and convenient access for visitors and volunteers.
We’re open to creative possibilities and eager to find a place that not only meets our current needs but complements and supports our organization’s continued growth.
Stay tuned for updates on our search for a new nest as more information develops. We’re optimistic about what’s ahead and thankful for Morven Park’s continued support during this transition.
Thanks for being part of our continuing journey; we’re excited to discover where we’ll land in 2026!
