It was a beautiful morning for a bird walk at Willowsford on November 24 with clear skies and very little wind. The group of 22 people found a total of 42 species of birds during the walk. The best part of the walk was a small section of the forest where we spied first a Barred Owl, then a dozen or so Turkey and Black Vultures, followed by a boisterous Common Raven flying over, two Red-tailed Hawks and six Wild Turkeys walking through the forest — all within the span of about five minutes. What a great day for the many new birders that joined us today! Special thanks goes to the Willowsford community for allowing us to use their trails.
