Site Description: This site is located on a trail near Ashburn Park and is just before the confluence with Beaverdam Run proper in Ashburn. This is a benthic macroinvertebrate monitoring site (in partnership with Virginia Save Our Streams).
Certified Lead Monitor: Broad Run teacher Jen Dunn started conducting benthic monitoring at this site in the spring of 2024. Jen and Aimee Conrad have also been collecting Salt Watch data at this site. Youth Conservation Leadership Institute student Anthony Santos established the site in the fall of 2022.

Ecological condition rating scores resulting from a benthic macroinvertebrate surveys at Beaverdam Run Tributary starting in Fall 2022. This site has consistently received unacceptable ratings. These surveys cannot detect bacterial pollution.
