Hola, We landed Saturday in Mexico City, one of the worlds largest.
It took us 1.5 hours to make it out of the city limits but when we did the landscape was beautiful and wide open.
Sunday we visited Cerro Pelon our first monarch reserve. A tough horse ride to 10,00 feet delivered us into the Oyamel forest where thousands of beautiful overwintering monarchs were staying.
Okay, now two questions. What is the closest large town to these coordinates? N 19 degrees 23. 412 minutes, W 100 degrees 16.368 minutes. Second, what national celebration is going on in picture three.
As a class do you have any questions? If so, Mrs.Reely or Mrs. Keffer would you post them to this blog.
Today weare off to a second Monarch reserve and and another long walk.
Until the next time (tomorrow) “Hasta la vista”
Mr. McGranaghan
