Seven of us braved the cold on Saturday, December 11 for the regularly scheduled bird walk sponsored by the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy and the Friends of Banshee Reeks at the Banshee Reeks Nature Preserve.
We had three people new to the birding at Banshee. It was a very slow day with only 25 species counted. Due to the cold the first Turkey Vulture did not appear until 11 o’clock. We had no hawks and the one bald eagle was cruising up the Goose Creek.
