I’ll be posting this to our programs and field trips page shortly but wanted to get the information out to you quickly since this is a new event. Bird Atlasing is a great activity – people who have jumped into it have reported a new awareness for birds and their behaviors and have really enjoyed being part of this county-wide citizen science project.
Bird Atlas Training Session — Wednesday, April 7, 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 pm.We encourage anyone interested in volunteering with the Loudoun County Bird Atlas to attend a training session. The training will provide an opportunity to meet other atlasers and become familiar with atlasing and entering your data. A printed copy of the atlas handbook, block map, field card, and other information will be provided. The location for this training session is the Purcellville Library.
