
Michael Sciortino has been a resident of Loudoun County since 1997, and he has lived in South Riding for the entire time. He has seen momentous change in the Dulles South for nearly three decades. Michael is an avid hiker and loves to photograph the birds of Loudoun County. He became interested in the Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy though the monthly bird walks held around the county. Michael has over twenty years experience with fiscal management, budgeting, financial systems, internal controls, financial reporting, and auditing. After thirty-four years, he recently retired from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service as the deputy CFO. His federal experience also includes serving in the U.S. Navy submarine force in the early 1980s. He is a certified government financial manager (CGFM) and project management professional.
