BJ retired from the U.S. Geological Survey, Water Mission Area, in April 2018 after almost 38 years providing IT support, security and project management. Prior to retirement, she discovered Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Monarch Program in 2016, which introduced her to native plants and habitat restoration. She became a trained Audubon at Home Ambassador and Virginia Master Naturalist by April 2018. She works part-time at Watermark Woods native plants nursery and enjoys learning about birds, insects, botany and native plants while practicing conservation and environmental stewardship of her property of over three acres.
