Who Doesn’t Love Fireflies?
July 12 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Many of us have fond memories of catching fireflies on a summer evening. But why do fireflies flash? What do they eat? And are fireflies disappearing? Learn all about these fascinating insects in a lively, family-friendly nature talk. After the talk, bug scientists of all ages can try to catch and observe fireflies. Presented by Ariel Firebaugh, firefly researcher and Director of Scientific Engagement at UVA’s Blandy Experimental Farm. Limit 35. Registration required
