Stream Monitoring at Tuscarora Creek at Westpark in Leesburg
March 23 @ 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
Ever wonder what’s living in our local streams? Join a stream monitoring team and help gauge local water quality by surveying aquatic organisms living on the stream bottom. Led by certified stream monitors, the teams welcome interested participants and offer an opportunity to explore Loudoun’s lovely creeks.
All surveys are led by certified stream monitors and no experience is required. Please wear water boots. All other equipment will be provided. Exact location will be sent to registered participants closer to the survey date. Please make sure you are available for the original and rain dates. 2 volunteers needed, ages 12 and up. Registration required. Rain date is March 30.
Registration is full. If you would like to be added to the waitlist, please email Amy as directed below.
If you are interested in volunteering, please email Amy Ulland (aulland@loudounwildlife.org) and give her your name, cell phone number (in case we need to contact you for rescheduling or cancellation due to weather), number of people in your group, and the name of this event (Tuscarora Creek, Westpark).
