Sharon is a lifelong naturalist, writer and photographer. “One of my greatest joys is capturing the beauty of nature and sharing it with others. I strive to inspire others to observe, care and take action,” she says. Her experience in conservation goes back to “when I started slinging dirt for the Calif Conservation Corp and putting out brush fires for Calif Dept. of Forestry.” Sharon taught hands-on Environmental Education to kids from Orange County. “It was very rewarding to know that we may have changed some of their lives by opening their eyes to the wonder of nature.” She managed retail stores, all having to do with outdoors or nature. When children came, volunteering went back to a side job. She joined Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy in 2012 and became Managing Editor of Habitat Herald in 2015.
