Patti is particularly interested in preservation, conservation, and education efforts that pertain to the natural environment. She served several terms on the Board of Directors for the Loudoun Water Authority as well as the Waterford Foundation. She currently is a member of the state’s Catoctin Creek Scenic River Advisory Committee, which was established under the Virginia Scenic Rivers Program. This program was developed to identify, designate and help protect rivers and streams that possess outstanding scenic, recreational, historic and natural characteristics of statewide significance for future generations. A registered professional engineer specializing in water treatment, Patti’s clients over the past 25 years include municipal and government agencies throughout the country. She currently consults within the greater Washington D.C. metropolitan area.
