Kim Strader joins us following her career at the State Arboretum of Virginia at Blandy Experimental Farm as the Assistant Curator of the Native Plant Trail. She has 25 years of horticultural experience specializing in native plants and wildlife habitat gardening. Throughout her career, Kim has planned and coordinated weekly workdays for volunteers. She attributes her success in all her positions to the volunteers who shared their time, energy, knowledge and dedication to the organizations she has worked for. Kim’s passion is connecting people with plants and nature and being a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. In her spare time, Kim enjoys handcrafting pine needle baskets, reading and wandering through the woods.
