SUMMARY:Young Birders Walk at the Dulles Wetlands
DESCRIPTION:Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Young Birding Program for a bird walk at the Dulles Greenway Wetlands. This is a great chance to learn more about birds and birding with other interested young people\, whether you’re a beginner or an expert. Built in the early 1990s to replace the wetlands lost when the Dulles Greenway was built\, this wetlands along the Goose Creek near Oatlands is a great place to observe a wide variety of birds including small sparrows with their cryptic plumage\, stately wading birds\, and magnificent Bald Eagles who have successfully nested there for nearly two decades now. Bring binoculars if you have them. Expect to encounter rough terrain where walking is difficult. Directions and parking information will be sent to participants prior to the walk. Limit 12.
