Plus\, we’ll have native plants and pictures on display to help you decide what you want to add to your home garden’s habitat. \n9:00 – 10:00 am – Meet the Natives \nWe’ll have pictures\, brochures and plants on hand as we answer general questions about natives and the plant sale. \n10:00 – 10:45 am – NoVa’s Native Plants: From Ecological “Why” to Backyard “How” \nThink globally; act locally in your own yard! You’ll also learn from LIRA founder Mike Littman how invasive plants inspired a major “grassroots” movement in Loudoun-and how you can be a part of it. \n12:15 – 1:00 pm – Creating habitat at home \nThink “native” means “messy”? Think again. Join native landscape designer Reneé Kitt of Ahimsa Native Plants for a fresh look at how to use Virginia’s local flora to create sophisticated\, structured and stunning outdoor spaces. \nIf you have boxes for carrying your plants\, please bring them.
