SUMMARY:Identifying Sparrows (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Identifying sparrows is a challenge\, not just for beginners but for experienced birders as well. This is especially true in the fall when the number of species in our area increases due to migration. Larry Meade\, the longtime president of the Northern Virginia Bird Club\, will use his extensive photograph collection to describe how you can distinguish sparrows from each other and also identify other species that resemble them. While differences can be subtle\, sparrow species vary considerably in their beautiful but cryptic plumage.
