Wine, Wings and Wildlife

We’re going WILD at Sunset Hills Vineyards! Bring the family out to one of Loudoun’s prettiest places and learn how we are working to conserve and restore wildlife habitat for Monarch butterflies, Eastern Bluebirds and other native wildlife. Enjoy live music, food truck cuisine, Sunset Hills’ award-winning Virginia wine and a variety of fun wildlife activities for you and the kids sponsored by Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy. A portion of sales from the day will go to Loudoun Wildlife.
Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy Events at Sunset Hills Vineyard:
1-4pm – Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy Information & Loudoun Wildlife Tracks ID Challenge
1:30-2pm – Garden Safari and Monarch Butterfly Talk with our Monarch Ambassador, 13-year-old Carter Steadman.
2:30-3pm – Raising and Releasing Monarch Caterpillars, a how-to with LIVE caterpillars and butterflies!
3-4pm – WILDLIFE Meet-N-Greet! Join us to meet and learn about a special wildlife neighbor (it’s a sssssurprise!).
3:30-4pm – Eastern Bluebird Spotlight. We’ll take a brief walk along the grapevines and peek inside some of the nest boxes to learn about native birds and bluebird monitoring. Meet at the Bluebird Table.
Food Truck: Hog It Up BBQ from 12 to 5 pm
Live Music: Andrew O’Day from 1:30 to 4:30 pm
