Winter brings a good variety of attractive waterfowl to Loudoun County, and Loudoun Wildlife is offering a class and a field trip by Bill Brown so you can get to know these beautiful creatures. The class on will be an indoor presentation covering the basics of waterfowl biology, identification, molt, migration, and breeding (class location: Vaughn Room at Morven Park). The field trip, Sunday, March 3, 9:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m., will visit several local hotspots where we should find many of the species that regularly visit the county. We will have spotting scopes so that everyone can get close-up looks at these beautiful winter visitors. Limit 15 people. Fee: $10/members and $15/non-members. Registration required.
