Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy Open House
May 19, 2018 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Visit Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Spring Native Plant Sale on Saturday, May 19, then check out the organization’s newly established headquarters!
The nonprofit’s home, located in a historic building known as the Gate House on the grounds of Leesburg’s Morven Park, will be open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
“We are so thankful for our partnership with Morven Park and happy that their board and staff offered us this wonderful location,” says Nicole Sudduth, Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s executive director, of the leased space. “It provides not only a home for our office, but an area where we can teach about nature, have hands-on displays, and offer our nature books, handouts, and gear.”
During the open house:
• Gifts such as books (new, used, and signed), jewelry (Creations by Diane), photography (Jim Emery), T-shirts, and monarch rearing cages will be available for purchase, along with memberships. Money raised during the event will benefit Loudoun Wildlife’s nature education, habitat restoration, citizen science, and conservation advocacy efforts.
• Light refreshments will be served.
Questions: Contact email@example.com.
Please note: The Gate House is located at 17638 Old Waterford Road. Because there is no street parking permitted, due to the building’s proximity to the park’s pedestrian entrance, visitors must enter Morven Park to access the building. View directions.
