Celebrate Birds: Introduction to Birdwatching
April 19 @ 8:00 am

Perfect for beginners, this class, taught by Loudoun Wildlife’s Scott Harris and sponsored by the Sweet Run State Park (see map below), will help you connect with nature and start your birdwatching journey. Discover the basics of birdwatching: Learn how to identify common local species, use binoculars, and understand bird behaviors and habitats. Join us for a morning of exploration and birdwatching tips to enhance your outdoor adventures. We will have binoculars you can borrow and will introduce you to some other tools to help you get started with this rewarding pastime. Download the Merlin app to your phone and create a free account before the class. Children under 10 years old, unless very motivated, might find this class a little slow. Meet at the Interpretive Center. After the introduction, we will take a walk along a trail. No registration necessary.
Fee Notice: Sweet Run collects a parking fee via self-pay kiosks located at each parking area/entrance. The fee for a standard vehicle is $10. View fee information.
