Fall Native Plant Sale
September 14 @ 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Native plants add beauty and interest to your garden year round and provide important habitat for wildlife. Beautiful flowers, shrubs, trees, vines, and ferns will be available for purchase from a trio of Virginia-based vendors: Watermark Woods Nursery in Hamilton; Hill House Farm and Nursery in Castleton; and Nature by Design in Alexandria. The sale, sponsored by Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy, is staffed by volunteers who can help you choose native plants for your yard. Other community groups such as the Virginia Native Plant Society will also participate.
The sale also provides an excellent opportunity to learn about the work that Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy is doing. Volunteers will be staffing tables for the following programs and projects:
- Stream Monitoring
- Amphibian Monitoring
- Pollinators and the annual Butterfly Count
- Habitat Restoration
- JK Black Oak Wildlife Sanctuary
- Audubon at Home
- The Birds of Loudoun County
The sale will be in the main parking lot at Morven Park. Enter via Old Waterford Road.
