Changing Seasons Nature Walk
November 3 @ 1:00 pm
Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy’s Phil Daley to explore the varied habitats of the Blue Ridge Center for Environmental Stewardship, a future state park, during late fall. While many people stay indoors during the cooler months, others enjoy the beauty of a season when the sky is so clear you can see forever and the sun casts the longest shadows. During this free family-friendly hike, watch for the many birds, mammals, and insects that over-winter here and examine them and some of the plants to see how they adapt to temperatures that dip below freezing. The Blue Ridge Center consists of almost 900 acres south of Harpers Ferry in northwestern Loudoun County. Meet at the Education Center. Registration required.
