Searching for Birds of Prey: A Class and Field Trip
January 26, 2019 @ 10:00 am - 5:30 pm
$10 – $15
Birds of prey numbers increase dramatically in the winter as our resident birds are joined by many others. Join Loudoun Wildlife Conservancy for a class by Liam McGranaghan on identifying birds of prey at 10:00 a.m. After a break for lunch the group will reconvene as we drive Loudoun County’s back roads to search for winter raptors. We’ll make frequent stops to find and identify the many hawks, an owl or two, and any other birds that winter here. We will carpool/caravan from our meeting point for the field trip to the return as we need to limit the number of cars. Space is limited so please register early. Fee: $15 for non-members, $10 for members. Registration required.
Note: The class begins at 10 a.m. and field trip from 1:00 p.m. until dusk. All participants will be sent details on the class and field trip after registration.
